Mastering Appraisals

Mastering Appraisals is approved in Georgia by both the Real Estate Commission and the Real Estate Appraisers Board, and in North Carolina by the Real Estate Commission for continuing education. This photo packed class is designed to give the student an in-depth understanding of the appraisal process. It is the first in a series of two classes. Mastering Appraisals looks at a standard URAR – single family appraisal report and highlights the important sections of the report. Detailed discussion is provided on key areas of the report such as legal description, zoning/legal use, gross living area, comparable selection and adjustments and much more.

The second class in this series is Mastering Valuations. This is also a very exciting seminar. We will actually leave the classroom, visit a home and complete a full appraisal.

Mastering Valuations

Mastering Valuations is approved in Georgia by both the Real Estate Commission and the Real Estate Appraisers Board, and in North Carolina by the Real Estate Commission for continuing education. This very exciting seminar is the second in our series of appraisal seminars. It is recommended, but not required, that the student attend Mastering Appraisals first.

What makes this class so unique and so popular is that we will actually identify a real property that we will appraise. The first hour of the class is spent in the classroom where we will do research on the property just the way we do as appraisers. We will identify our neighborhood, search for comparable sales and gather specific information on our subject property. At the property the group will break into small units, guided by one of our experienced appraisers, and complete a full appraisal inspection. You will learn how to measure a house – and actually get to do it! We will discuss items which add to value, those that detract from value and much more. The final segment of the seminar is back in the classroom to wrap it all up and complete the actual appraisal report.
